They often print unreadable barcodes or use low-quality boxes that get crushed. If Amazon rejects the shipment, you have to pay to bring it back and ship it again. Shiftur acts as your expert quality check to ensure everything is perfect the first time.

What is the difference between an FNSKU and a UPC? Which one should I use?

A UPC is a generic barcode found on retail products. An FNSKU is a unique Amazon barcode specific to your seller account. We strongly recommend using FNSKU. If you use a UPC, Amazon might mix (commingle) your inventory with other sellers. If another seller sends fake products, your customer might receive a fake one, and your account could get banned. FNSKU keeps your stock separate and safe.

How long does it take to remove stock from Amazon if it isn't selling?

If you create a Removal Order to send stock back to a warehouse, Amazon usually takes about 14 business days to process it. However, during busy times like Black Friday or Christmas, this can take up to 30 business days or more. Shiftur plans these removals early so you don't keep paying storage fees while waiting for Amazon.

My product is made of glass. What special prep does it need?

Amazon has a "Drop Test" rule. Your product must be able to fall from 3 feet onto a hard floor without breaking. If it breaks, Amazon will reject it. Shiftur ensures your fragile items are wrapped in thick bubble wrap (usually 6-sided protection) and labeled with "Fragile" stickers so they pass the test and arrive safely to the customer.

What happens if my FBA shipment weighs more than 50 lbs?

Amazon has a strict safety rule: standard boxes cannot weigh more than 50 lbs. If a box is heavier, it might be rejected, or you could be fined. If a single unit weighs more than 50 lbs, we must apply "Team Lift" safety labels on the top and sides of the box. Shiftur checks all weights before shipping to ensure compliance.

Can you help me if my listing shows "Stranded Inventory"?

Yes! "Stranded Inventory" is a nightmare—it means your stock is sitting in Amazon's warehouse, paying storage fees, but customers cannot buy it because the listing is broken.
